On November 3, 2008, the Empire Earth and Empire Earth: the Art of Conquest dedicated online servers were permanently shut down by Activison. As an alternative, a user under the name Nukin Futs created a windows application that would run as a replacement lobby, enabling online gaming for Empire Earth and Empire Earth: the Art of Conquest to continue.
